SPAIN LOSES 2 - 1 TO FRANCE IN THE U19 EURO CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

France defeated Spain 2-1 in the Final of the U19 European Championships. Great game from the local team & hosts who managed to win with their physical strength over the Spanish “touch-ball” style.

Spain was the winner in the first half putting in an exhausting 45 min of domination play that earned them a goal. However the second half was a complete different story with France taking advantage of the Spanish tiredness & scoring twice to take the final & the U19 Euro title.

A grand effort by the Spanish U19 Team to get to the final who were defeated by the better team – France – on this occasion.

The news has been picked up by all local media & the German International could be flying to Madrid in the next hours to pass the obligatory medical exam this Saturday before signing his new contract with Madrid sometime early next week.

It has been written that Real Madrid made a 10M€ offer for the player, but German media cite this figure to be higher & closer to 15M€.

SPANISH U19 NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM | PHOTO

SPANISH SPORTS, & especially SPANISH FOOTBALL , is passing through a sweet moment. The Spanish National Football Team are current European Champions & just recently conquered the FIFA World Cup. With this in mind Spanish Football has plenty of future as illustrated by the U 19 SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM ( pictured below ) who will play France tomorrow in the U 19 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL.

Many observers are commenting that the U 19 Spanish Team has a list of members with brilliant talent that could make the jump in coming years into the "Absolute" National Team. Names like Dani Pacheco (Liverpool), Segio Canales (Real Madrid), Keko (At Madrid), Thiago (Barcelona), Munain (At Bilbao ) ...just to mention a few.

From here we wish them all the luck in the World for tomorrows Final. Let´s hope they can come back as U 19 European Champs.

REAL MADRID | RAUL SAYS GOODBYE | TRIBUTE VIDEO

REAL MADRID 2010 | KHEDIRA AGREES & IS CLOSE TO SIGNING

Spanish Sports daily “AS” is quite adamant, according to their online edition there is total agreement between REAL MADRID & German International midfielder SAMI KHEDIRA.

Now REAL MADRID has to come to terms with an economic deal that satisfies the German Club STUTTGART. This should not be a problem because Khedira finishes contract with his German Club & the latter will work to get something out of a “bad situation”

On another note, & staying with Spanish Club REAL MADRID, German team Schalke 04 has made official the signing of RAUL GONZALEZ BLANCO for the next two years on its Web.

EUROPEAN U19 CHAMPIONSHIPS | SPAIN 3 ENGLAND 1 | SPAIN GOES INTO THE FINAL

The U-19 SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM defeated ENGLAND 3 -1 in the semi final this afternoon to go into the Final of the U19 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS on Friday were they will play France.

Spain deserved the victory as they dominated play with England having its moment in the late part of the 1º half with their only goal. Earlier Spain scored two excellent goals with the 3ºrd & definite goal in the mid part of the 2ºhalf were the Spanish later played to maintain the score line & secure their pass to the Final

INTER MILAN REAL MADRID AGREE TRANSFER OF MAICON ?

This time around it is not the “scoop” hungry Spanish Sports daily “Marca”, this time the news that INTER MILAN & REAL MADRID have an agreement to transfer Brazilian International right-back MAICON comes directly from Italy & in particular from two sources like “La Gazzetta dello Sport” & the more generalist “Corriere della Sera”.

The info is that the transfer price has been placed at around 28M€ plus variables for performances, titles & other “inventive” formulas. Now it is Real Madrid that needs to find a suitable agreement with Maicon who is asking for a 4 year contract plus between 6-7M€/ year, an exaggerated sum that is halting advances. Real Madrid is only willing to go as far as 5M€ & thus here is the “negotiating tussle” that could be halting the news from Italy becoming a reality.

Having written all this, it is still pure speculation & I remind you that until both Clubs make an official announcement Maicon is still ( & continues to be) an Inter Milan player. Stay tuned!

From Spain REAL MADRID claims the news from Italy is FALSE!

SPANISH SPORT SUCCESS | CONTADOR IN TOUR E FRANCE ALONSO IN GERMAN F1

Spanish Sport continues with its string of success stories, this time in Cycling & in Formula 1 racing.

Spanish cyclist ALBERTO CONTADOR won his 3rd TOUR DE FRANCE (2010) today ahead of Andy Schleck & Denis Melchov. The Spaniard was emotional as this edition was the most fought especially after nearly “losing” the leaders grip yesterday in the 52 km time-trial that although he won Contador later let known that he experienced dedicated moments during the leg.

The other great Spanish Sports story today was that Spanish Formula One driver FERNANDO ALONSO won the GERMAN F1 GP ahead of Ferrari team-mate Massi with third place to Vettal. However, there was controversy as Felipe Massa allowed Fernando Alonso to pass him when he was leading to give Alonso the race. This off course led to a 100.000 US$ fine & Ferrari will have to wait to see want the World F1 Council has to say & what extra penalty they may place on the “Italian Stallion”.

Blemish aside, grand day for Spanish Sports

PD. JORGE LORENZO
wins the USA Moto GP at "Laguna Seca". Grand!

2010 U/19 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS | SPAIN 3 ITALY 0

The U/19 SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM defeated ITALY 3-0 in the last match of their group to finish in Top place in the U/19 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS being held in France. Spain went into this game without seven of their habitual starting players who were rested as they had before hand secured a semi-final place. But the “reserves” made it look like they were not missed at all with some great play & excellent result.

Spain will now meet England in the semi-finals. Here is a video of the 3rd goal by Spanish player EZEQUIEL who transformed a penalty in an amazing manner & with a very cool nerve. Excuse the music that our “youtube” friend has added to the video…

Details:

REAL MADRID | RAUL TO ANNOUNCE MOVE TO SCHALKE 04 ON MONDAY

The current REAL MADRID Captain RAUL GONZALEZ BLANCO is expected back at the Club from holidays this Monday. However, everything points that RAUL will not be back to work but to announce the end of his many years at the Spanish Club & a move to end his career at German Club SCHALKE 04.

The 33 year old Spanish Football “legend” believes he still has a lot of Football left in him, does not wish to spend another season on the bench at Real & desires to keep playing at the highest level. Schalke 04 offers a new adventure & the possibility to play in the Champions League where he has a chance to break the all time “European tournaments” goal scoring record of German Gerd Muller (69) who is just 2 goals ahead of Raul who currently has 67 goals. The German Club is said to have offered Raul a two year contract.

It is reported that the Real Madrid Captain has already made his decision to leave & will announce it to the Club this Monday with a possible press conference to say goodbye ( if it is all correct) to the fans.

SPANISH FOOTBALL PLAYER & WORLD CUP HERO ANDRES INIESTA HAS A SONG ( VARIOUS...)

Spanish International Football Player ANDRES INIESTA has become a national hero after scoring the winning goal for Spain in the Final of the 2010 World Cup against Holland. Apart from being one – if not – one of the best players in the World his humble personality has won fans from all sides of life. So mucho so that songs are springing up about Iniesta from all sorts of local artists to pay tribute & why not, take advantage of his star status to get some publicity back on top.

Barcelona electro-group “Delafé y Las Flores Azules” has this song about Iniesta called “Iniesta De Mi Vida” ( Iniesta My Life ), words shouted out by ex Real Madrid Champion player, Real Madrid Coach , ex – National Selector , current Osasuna Coach & TV commentator Jose Camacho. The video shows images of the village from where Iniesta grew up – Fuentealbilla – along with his goal & Camacho in full ecstasy …

The electro-outfit sends the message ..."Iniesta deserves the FIFA Golden Ball..."

The victory assures the Spaniards a place in the semi-finals & gives them a direct ticket for the 2011 World Championships in Colombia.

REAL MADRID 2010 | "PROBLEMS" WITH THE SAMI KHEDIRA NEGOTIATIONS

It is not over until the fat lady sings; perhaps Spanish Sports daily “Marca” should take a leaf out of the book of popular sayings before publishing things like “Khedira signs for Real Madrid”. The latest news is that negotiations between REAL MADRID & STUTTGART midfielder SAMI KHEDIRA have complicated themselves with the news that the German player has a supoosed “pre-agreement” with BAYERN MUNICH according to Spanish Sports daily “AS”.

According to the cited paper, Jörg Neubauer representative of Khedira, is using this pre-agreement to pressure Real Madrid in lifting their offer & economic conditions for the German player. Being a “slick” manager Neubauer threatens that CHELSEA FC has also put in a firm offer for his player. The Spanish Club has announced that it will not accept raising their economic offer & does not wish to enter into any “war” with Bayern Munich, thus has asked that the pre-contract be made null before continuing. Real Madrid believes that Khedira & his representative will return to the negotiation table & finish what has been started.

Stay tuned!

ATLETICO DE MADRID CLOSES DEAL WITH DEPORTIVO FOR FILIPE LUIS

Good news for ATLETICO DE MADRID fans with the news from Spanish daily "AS" on its online channel announcing that the Madrid Club has come to terms with DEPORTIVO A CORUÑA for the transfer of Brazilian International Left Back FILIPE LUIS.

Both Clubs were in intense negotiations today in Madrid with the deal coming to good port after both teams agreed the 12M€ transfer price & a 4 year contract for the player. Filipe Luis is expected to arrive tomorrow to the Spanish Capital to shut the loose ends so as to later be able to make an official announcement.

The Brazilian is a talented player who was a regular for Brazil before he suffered a broken leg injury last year of which he is now fully recovered. His incorporation to Atletico lifts the quality level as the Europa League Champions work to put together a competitive squad for season 2010-2011.

EUROPEAN U-19 CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010 | CROATIA 1 - SPAIN 2

The SPANISH U 19 NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM is participating in the EUROPEAN U19 CHAMPIONSHIPS in France & started off well in their first group game against CROATIA with a 2-1 victory.

Spain dominated most of the match with possesion of the ball but Croatia scored first before half time via Andrijasevic who managed to "shake" the Spaniards out of their comfort zone. The young Spanish players reacted well in the second half to score twice via THIAGO who was brilliant today & RODRIGO with a header from a goalkeeping stop. Special mention to new Real Madrid player SERGIO CANALES (above) who put in a great match along with PACHECO.

Spain will play next Wednesday Portugal who managed to defeat Italy 2-0.

MOTO GP | SPANISH RIDERS WIN ALL 3 CATAGORIES IN GERMANY

Just a brief post to congratulate the Spanish riders that have taken the winners spot in all 3 catagories of the German Moto Gp. Extraordinary motorbike riding from young 125 cc star MARC MARQUEZ, brilliant comeback from last places by TONI ELIAS in Moto2 & DANI PEDROSA who beat follow Spanish pilot Jorge Lorenzo in MotoGP.

SPANISH SPORTS is experiencing a "sweet run" in lots of Sports & we should all be proud of our increible sportsmen/women.
Great stuff guys!

REAL MADRID LOOKING FOR A CENTRAL DEFENDER FOR SEASON 2010-2011

The original idea of REAL MADRID Coach Jose Mourinho was to place Sergio Ramos as a Central Defender, but the extraordinary World Cup performance of the Spanish player has convinced Mourinho to leave him in the right back position. This decision makes the Spanish Club look for a Central Defender for next season & there are a few names on the list: David Luiz, Bruno Alves, Nemanja Vidic y Thiago Silva

Of all the names THIAGO SILVA is said by Spanish paper “Marca” to be in “pole” position. The 25 year old Brazilian & AC MILAN player has an apparent price of around 10M€ that makes him very attractive for Real Madrid.

Stay tuned the next couple of weeks as the transfer market heats up.

SPAIN WORLD CUP TEAM 2010 | VIDEO OF ALL THE GOALS

In case you were on the moon all last month & missed the performance of the SPANISH FOOTBALL NATIONAL TEAM & the 2010 FIFA World Cup :o) Here is a video of all the eight goals scored by the SPAIN WORLD CUP TEAM & WORLD CHAMPIONS:

FC BARCELONA ON THE VERGE OF SIGNING SEVILLA FC BRAZILIAN ADRIANO

The “surprise” news from FC BARCELONA new Treasury Head was that the Club has only 50M€ for signings, apparently the last Presidential team of Laporta left some “smelly corpses” in the Barça balance sheet. If this is true CESC FABREGAS who is speculated to have a 50-55M€ price tag seems more distant than ever.

But there are other options, like SEVILLA FC Brazilian player ADRIANO who is on the verge of being a new signing for Barça. Here the 26 year old winger/midfielder comes with a 10M€ + variables price that makes him an excellent alternative to other pricey players. Barcelona based paper “Mundo Deportivo” publish that the deal has been already done, but until both Clubs makes it official we should all be cautious

With this Adriano joins David Villa & Barcelona still wishes to incorporate a solid midfielder & a defensive winger. It will depend how they can stretch those 50M€ &/or sell some player.

REAL MADRID AGREES WITH GETAFE THE SIGNING OF PEDRO LEON

REAL MADRID started its pre-season today with new Coach José Mourinho hard at work & already exercising his influence with signing decisions. According to local daily “AS”, Spanish Liga team GETAFE President Angel Torres has come to an agreement with REAL MADRID to transfer 23 year old Spanish midfielder PEDRO LEON after Mourinho gave his Ok to the operation.

Real Madrid will now pay Getafe 10M€ for the signing which is exactly the contract release clause amount & offers a 6 year contract. What is now needed is that both Clubs make a public announcement to make it all official.

REAL MADRID SIGNS GERMAN INTERNATIONAL SAMI KHEDIRA ?

Spanish Sports daily “Marca” is in a constant battle with its rivals to appear to be the first paper in the "exclusive" department. So much are their efforts that at times their scoops are still within the realm of speculation however adamant they are that their exclusive has 100% backing in reality. Today, the Spanish paper announces – as an exclusive – that young German International & STUTTGART midfielder SAMI KHEDIRA will be a new player of REAL MADRID for next season.
(photo:Efe)
Apparently the German was in Madrid yesterday with Real Coach Jose Mourinho to shut the deal & the transfer price is 10M€. The player has one year of contract left with his current Club & he doesn’t wish to renew, thus Stuttgart has had to listen & accept the players wishes or risk not gaining any money when the player becomes free later on.

Let’s be cautious, although “Marca” sells itself as the Spanish paper “exclusive” ace, until the Clubs make the transfer official this news – Marca news – is still a rumour, however likely or close it may actually be in reality.

SIX SPANISH PLAYERS & COACH DEL BOSQUE MAKE UP THE 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP DREAM TEAM - BEST XI

Source: Spanish Football Sports Blog/
FIFA has included up to six SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM players ( plus Coach Del Bosque) to make up its BEST XI Team for the 2010 WORLD CUP Tournament. What has grabbed everyone attention is the absence of the big names, which isn´t a big surprise as the likes of Cristaino Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka, ... etc have not shone in this World Cup & their respective teams were eliminated relatively early.

This is the FIFA 2010 World Cup "Dream Team" / "Best XI" team:

Iker Casillas (SP), Maicon (BRA), Sergio Ramos (SP) , Carles Puyol (SP) , Lahm (GER), Wesley Sneijder (HOL), Xavi Hernandez (SP) , Andres Iniesta (SP) , Schweinsteiger (GER), Diego Forlan (URU) & David Villa (SP)

Coach : Vicente Del Bosque (SP)

SPANISH DEFENDER CARLES PUYOL TO STEP ASIDE FROM THE NATIONAL TEAM

Latest news: Puyol will play against Mexico in August before making a final decision. Spanish Coach Del Bosque is attempting to convince Puyol to reach at least 100 International Caps. I hope he decides to stay.

FC BARCELONA
player & Spanish International Central Defender CARLES PUYOL is set to leave, better said, retire from the SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM. The 32 year old player wishes to leave at the top of the success story after winning the 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP with the National Team. Puyol wants to concentrate his energies in extending his Football career & efforts with Barça & leaving a space open in the Spanish defence for a younger talent. Considered as one of the Worlds Best Defenders, Carles Puyol has a admirable 90 International Caps with Spain & a list of mayor titles that are the envy of most Football players.

Spanish Football Authorities, including Coach Del Bosque, have attempted to change the mind of the FC Barcelona player but according to most Sports media Puyol has already made the decision to step aside. The natural replacement is REAL MADRID defender RAUL ALBIOL who was part of the 23 players list of the newly crowned FIFA WORLD CHAMPIONS. However, there is a long line of aspiring young candidates that will make securing the position left vacant by Puyol & difficult task. Amorebieta (25 yrs, Ath Bilbao), Alexis (25, Valencia), Alvaro Domínguez (21, At.Madrid ), Victor Ruiz (21, Espanyol)…just to mention a few, will be knocking at the door in any future Spanish Team selection list.

SPAIN WINS THE 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP | HOLLAND 0 - SPAIN 1 | SPAIN 2010 FIFA WORLD CHAMPIONS

Source: Spanish Football Sports Blog/
For once justice has been done, Football has won this time with the victory of SPAIN over HOLLAND 0-1 in the Final of the 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP. It was rough , tough & at times beyond the rules of the game, with possibly one of the "worst" referees in the tournament. However, with the joy radiating from the body one cannot now begin to point out all the negative aspects of this difficult fought out Final Football match.

This is for all the bad mouths ( they & you know who they are), l guys SPAIN is FIFA WORLD CHAMPIONS. For the rest of us who maintained the faith, what a journey & what a "trip" to get to Football Heaven. The European Champions have reached the Olympus of Football with an extraordinary bunch of players that have created a team above all & with the philosophy of playing "Beautiful Football"

We all know the details of the match. Yes, Holland should have been down to 9 men for some terrible fouls that was part of their tactics to stop Spain. But what about Spanish Captain IKER CASILLAS with 3 vital saves. Absolutely amazing, the Best Goalkeeper in the World.

Ramos, Pique, Puyol, Capdevilla, Busquets, Xabi , Xavi, Pedro, Navas, Villa, Torres, Llorente, Javi Martinez, Silva, Mata, Arbeloa, Valdes, Reina, Marchena, Cesc Fabregas...etc ( sorry if I left someone out)...& ANDRES INIESTA with his 115th min winning goal to give us the World Cup & confirm him as one of the "Best Players In the World". Absolutely F**king amazing! They deserve it.

Tomorrow Madrid expects to receive the World Champions with more than 1.000.000 people in the streets for a ticket tape parade. They are expected to land in Madrid around 15.00 to begin celebrations around 19.00.

I am happy, full of joy & thanks to the SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM for making it so!

2010 FIFA WORLD CUP FINAL | SPAIN STARTING LINEUP AGAINST HOLLAND

The Spanish Football Team starting 11 line up against Holland in the 2010 World Cup Final has been confirmed. It is the same starting 11 as against Germany in the semi-final:

Casillas, Ramos, Pique, Puyol, Capdevila, Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Xavi Hernandez, Iniesta, Pedro & David Villa.

One will expect Fernando Torres to get a run in the latter part of the 2º half when the Dutch defence is a bit more tired so he can attack them.

Good luck Spain! May the better team win.

ATLETICO DE MADRID SHUTS WITH RENNES THE ROD FANNI TRANSFER

According to Spanish Sports Daily “AS”, ATLETICO DE MADRID & French team RENNES has come to an agreement to have defender ROD FANNI play at the Spanish club as of next season. The operation is around 4,5M€ & the Spanish Club has offered the player a 3 year contract. The idea is to present Fanni to the media late next week after the habitual medical exams.

Spanish Football History – the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final against Holland – the media observers following the SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM have began their habitual round of speculation & rumour in an attempt to predict the SPAIN WORLD CUP TEAM starting 11 line up for tomorrow.

The very, very latest news – or better said rumour – comes after Spain celebrated their last official training session tonight in the “Soccer City” ground, the stage for tomorrows final. The “wagging tongues” say that 10 players will repeat, the so called 10 untouchables, with just one position in play for 3 players. PEDRO held that position in the semi-final match against Germany & there is “talk” that either FERNANDO TORRES with regain his place or CESC FABREGAS will come in. Said this, no one predicted Pedro for the semi-final & thus an "outsider" like DAVID SILVA is the “dark horse” for many punters. But only 11 can play so I will place my bets on the following names to make up what I think (repeat I think) will be the SPAIN FOOTBALL TEAM STARTING 11 LINE UP AGAINST HOLLAND for the final:

Casillas, Ramos, Pique, Puyol, Capdevila, Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas (or Fernando Torres) & David Villa.

This is pure “crystal ball” stuff as Coach Del Bosque has said anything at all tonight & has not even hinted with his choice 11. Either way, good luck to Spain!

REAL MADRID HAS GERMAN INTERNATIONAL SAMI KHEDIRA IN MIND?

The news coming out of Spanish paper “AS” is that REAL MADRID & its new Coach José Mourinho have put their eyes on 23 year German International & STUTTGART midfielder SAMI KHEDIRA. Apparently, negotiations with Liverpool for Steven Gerrard or AC Roma for Di Rossi have come to a “dead-end” as they squabble over their inflated prices, apart from the fact that their Clubs are not “co-operating”. Another German player that sounds is midfield powerhouse Schweinsteiger but his Club Bayern Munich has already shouted out with a “leave him alone”.

With this all happening the alternative would be Khedira who is around the 10-15M€ market price range. The player hasn’t renewed his contract because English team Chelsea FC made an offer before the World Cup, that now Real Madrid may better that offer & may interest more the young German midfielder.

A smoke screen? A method to put pressure on other players? The real thing? Stay tuned!

SPAIN WORLD CUP 2010 TEAM PHOTO vs. GERMANY

There is SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM fever as indicated by the emails that I am receiving from World-wide SFS readers. The solicitation is for Spanish Football Team Player photos & especially the Spain World Cup Team photo. The blog is full of images but it seems they are not enough for all the thirsty "Football fans". No need to worry, here is the SPAIN FOOTBALL TEAM starting 11 Line-up that made history yesterday against Germany to defeat them 0-1 & go into the final of the World Cup.

SPAIN DEFEATS 1 - 0 GERMANY TO REACH THE FINAL OF THE 2010 WORLD CUP

Amazing & historical. The SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM put in its most impressive match in the correct moment. SPAIN defeated GERMANY 0-1 in the 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP semi-final to take another step closer to the biggest dream & prize in World Football. Spain has won a place to play Holland in next Sundays World Cup FINAL. Before I continue, great opponent the German team, they will get better as they have a very young team who are talented & will be back. But Spain played & deserved to win.

Spanish Coach Del Bosque surprised everyone by putting in the starting 11 FC Barcelona youngster PEDRO instead of Torres. The move paid off as he added speed up front that annoyed the Germans all the game. In fact, the Germans had tactically decided to give Spain the ball so they could defend & play their "counter-attcak" card which nearly paid off had it not been for a solid Spanish defence & a great IKER CASILLAS.

But it was the whole team, that put in an extraordinary effort taking for example David Villa who ran his life out although he didn´t score, Xavi, Xabi, Iniesta who was magic, Pique solid, Ramos who was an engine ...so on a so on ...& then PUYOL

It was the 73rd min & Spain had a corner. Then Puyol flew from behind to header an unstoppable ball to put it into the back of the German net & put Spain ahead.

This brought down morally the Germans who were having their best moment, plus the tiredness was setting in for them from running all game after the ball which Spain was controlling. From here, the Germans threw everything at the Spaniards to attempt to equalize - plus Spain had some counter-attacking opportunities - to see how the Spainish defence (team) held firm to make history.

Increible night, amazing & historical ...now Sunday.

SPAIN FOOTBALL TEAM STARTING LINE UP 11 AGAINST GERMANY

The latest news from Spanish media following the SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM is that Coach Del Bosque has finally decided to leave things as they are & repeat the same Spanish team as against PARAGUAY. This means that FERNANDO TORRES starts from the beginning of the game.

I am a bit surprised by the decision, persoanlly, as I would have preferred a midfielder like Silva or Cesc in for Torres, but I must respect the Coaching decision who knows more about these things. Lets hope Torres has his day today!

Therefore this is the apparent SPAIN FOOTBALL TEAM STARTING 11 LINE UP AGAINST GERMANY:

Casillas, Ramos, Pique, Puyol, Capdevila, Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Iniesta, David Villa & Fernando Torres.

GOOD LUCK Spain!

FIFA WORLD CUP SEMI FINAL 2010 | POSSIBLE SPAIN LINE UP AGAINST GERMANY

It’s the big unknown, will the Spanish National Football Team Coach Vicente Del Bosque put on the field in tomorrows World Cup semi-final against Germany the same starting 11 line up as in the last three games.

The very latest news is that Cesc Fabregas sees his chances fall in starting as he has an annoying ankle & shoulder “injury” that he picked up against Paraguay in the foul-penalty that wasn’t called for Spain. He was taken to hospital yesterday for a scan that showed no signs of any damage, but in training tonight he showed signs that he still felt some pain.

With the Cesc option under a cloud Spanish Coach Del Bosque has a small “dilemma”. Does he keep & put on from the beginning the questioned Fernando Torres or does he give DAVID SILVA or FERNANDO LLORENTE the start. Everything depends on how he finally wishes to play the Germans who have their main strength in their rapid counter-attacks.

Del Bosque can:

1. Place Fernando Torres to open space up for the attacking midfielders & use his pace. These types of games may finally awake the “killer forward” in him.
2. Put in giant Fernando Llorente to give the German Central defenders plenty of work
3. Guarantee the midfield & the possession of the ball with a “5th” midfielder that could be David Silva - or Cesc Fabregas (if fit).

I personally – in my humble opinion – would secure the midfield to control the German play makers & secure the ball. If after 70 mins the game is in a stalemate I would put on a fresh Torres to run at a tired German defence.

Having said all this, everything written at this stage is pure speculation. There are 000,000s pseudo Del Bosque’s with their own game strategy out there including myself. Therefore, following the latest news given by the media observers following the Spain Soccer Team this could be the SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM LINE UP against GERMANY :

Casillas, Ramos, Pique, Puyol, Capdevila, Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Xavi , Iniesta, David Silva (or Cesc Fabregas – Fernando Torres) & David Villa
